Last year's festivities were highly successful with over 60 vendors, nearly 3,000 in attendance and fundraising efforts that have granted over $130,000.00 to the Huston-Tillotson University Scholarship Fund!

Digital Learning Day – High Tech Open House at East Austin College Prep

Both East Austin College Prep campuses will be hosting a high-tech open house for Digital Learning Day, Wednesday, Feb. 5. From 9 – 11 am, the school will showcase student-designed games that were created through the Globaloria program. Globaloria is a platform that uses project-based learning and digital methods to teach courses in STEM, computing, game design and coding.

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO Jan 3: Southwest Key funds Social Entrepreneurship Scholarships to IMPACT Texas

IMPACT Texas is happy to announce a new scholarship funded by sponsor Southwest Key Programs. In an effort to promote participation by minority entrepreneurs, six scholarships will be made available to Social Entrepreneurs of color from across the state and will cover the cost of registration for IMPACT Texas. Only one scholarship can be awarded to each enterprise, and early stage social enterprises are encouraged to apply.

PHOTOS: Holiday Posada 2013

Southwest Key’s Latino Arts Preservation Program students narrated, sang and danced the audience through a traditional Mexican Posada. There was arts and crafts, snacks and Santa Claus! JPMorgan Chase also made a generous donation of books for the kids.
