Our mission is to ignite the desire of youth in Austin to become lifelong leaders by actively engaging them in safe and structured sport activities through tennis, soccer and other athletic programs. Ignite a Dream will achieve its mission by providing all underprivileged children with athletic opportunities that will teach them valuable life skills as well as provide them with tools, resources and the passion necessary to excel.

GOALS

• To work with "2nd Chance Schools" to help create tennis and soccer programs
• To raise awareness within communities for long term sustainability
• To educate children through sports to lead healthy and constructive lives
• To provide character building as well as life enhancing programs

WHAT CAN IGNITE A DREAM ACCOMPLISH?

• Higher levels of fitness are associated with better academic performance

• Higher levels of fitness were associated with better school attendance.

• Higher levels of fitness were also associated with fewer disciplinary incidents involving drugs, alcohol, violence and truancy.
