Susana Almanza is a founding member and Director of PODER (People Organized in Defense of Earth and Her Resources). She has served as a member of the City of Austin Environmental Board, the Planning Commissioner for the City of Austin, and on numerous committees on a national level. She is a lifetime resident of East Austin and has worked here all her life.
