Southwest Key’s East Austin Children’s Promise initiative is guided by the belief that the community must have a voice in planning and decision making activities in order to sustain a high quality of life for the children of East Austin. We organize the East Austin community through the following programs:
Southwest Key's EALDP is a resident-driven initiative empowering a new wave of neighborhood leaders through education and advocacy around critical issues facing East Austin.
Southwest Key's East Austin VOTA! Campaign seeks to increase the political efficacy of the Govalle/Johnston Terrace community through voter registration, education and get-out-the-vote efforts. Southwest Key hosts candidate forums for local Travis County elections each year and serves as Precinct 123's official voting station.
