Description: Do you want your child to go to college? Come to East Austin College Prep's Open House on January 28, 10am-3pm or February 2, 6pm - 7:30pm (in English & Español) to see our college-bound students in action! East Austin College Prep is a free public school located at Southwest Key's El Centro de Familia. We are preparing the next generation of Austin students for success in college and life. At our open houses you learn about all the special programs that set our school apart, including:
o Our extended school day (7:30 - 4:30)
o Teachers on call to students until 9pm every night
o Outstanding educators and small class sizes
o Emphasis on technology with web game design integrated into the core curriculum
o Visual and performing arts featuring a world-class youth orchestra and Latino Arts program
o Athletics, clubs, sports, health programs and a variety of extracurricular activities
o Field trips, service learning, college preparation and mentoring
o Prescriptive tutoring program
o Three week summer STEM institute
o Programs for parents and siblings, including job support and adult education w/childcare
o Free afterschool programs until 8pm through our on-site Boys & Girls Club
