Southwest Key Programs, a national non-profit with headquarters in Austin, Texas and programs in Arizona, California, Georgia, Florida, New York, Texas and Wisconsin, has achieved national accreditation through the New York-based Council on Accreditation (COA).

This week, East Austin College Prep kicked off the STEP UP to STEM Summer Program in partnership with Time Warner Cable's Connect A Million Minds Initiative-- in support of addressing America’s declining proficiency in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). STEP (Summer Transitional Enrichment Program) targets rising 7th, 8th and 9th grade students as they navigate the often difficult adjustment from elementary to middle school and middle school to high school by offering an academically rigorous and community-building summer experience.
