The May 2009 edition of Hispanic Business Magazine released its list of the top 25 Hispanic nonprofits of 2009. Southwest Key is proud to be named number 4 on the list of diverse nonprofits. “It’s an accomplishment that we achieved that was beyond our dreams when we were first conceptualizing the formation of Southwest Key Programs,” says Dr. Juan Sanchez, Southwest Key President and CEO. “We aspire to become the number one Hispanic nonprofit in the future.” Rankings were based on yearly expenditures. Southwest Key’s expenditures for 2008 totaled over $57 million. Southwest Key is the top ranked of four nonprofits in Texas who made it on the list and the only nonprofit headquartered in Austin.
