Catherine Peña is the Outreach & Business Development Officer for Capital One Bank. As a member of the Corporate Citizenship Division, she is responsible for Capital One’s community relations initiatives in Austin, San Antonio, and the Rio Grande Valley. In her three years with Capital One, she has created strategic relationships, developed successful programs, and made a significant impact toward meeting Capital One’s CRA goals.

Catherine began her career with IBM Corporation, where she was employed for 13 years and subsequently held senior account manager positions for Curriculum Advantage, Lightspan, Inc., and Apple Computer’s SchoolVision, Inc. She studied business administration at the University of New Mexico.

In addition to her extensive professional experience, Catherine serves on the board of directors for a number of organizations, including Southwest Key Programs, Southwest Key Enterprises, Community Development Corporation of South Texas, Harlingen Community Development Corporation, Not Forgotten Coalition, Community Leadership Institute, South Texas AAU, and Southwest Community Investment Corporation.
