Overview
Founded in 1987, Southwest Key Programs is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Austin, Texas that positively impacts the lives of thousands of individuals each day. Southwest Key operates over 50 juvenile justice and family wraparound programs, safe shelters for immigrant children, alternative schools, youth empowerment and fatherhood programs, and child care brokerage services. As a community development corporation, Southwest Key has recently opened the mixed-use East Austin Community Center, a model community-building initiative designed to improve educational and job attainment for families in an historically under-served community. Southwest Key currently employs a team of 1000 dedicated staff across seven states.
